Today marks the 72nd birthday of Jose Malgapo Jr (September 18, 1946) better known as Joe Taruc by his colleagues from the media. Considered to be one of the pillars of broadcasting media, Manong Joe as fondly called by his colleagues hails from Gapan, Nueva Ecija. A journalist by heart has served in the media for almost five decades.  Manong Joe became a part of Manila Broadcasting Company in the year 1986. He also became one of their board of directors. He was a Senior Vice President and Station Manager of DZRH before he finally signed off last September 30, 2017.
